[ Act No. 1770, October 11, 1907 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION EIGHT OF ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED AND NINETEEN, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO PROMOTE GOOD ORDER AND DISCIPLINE IN THE PHILIPPINES CONSTABULARY," BY INCLUDING UNDER THE PENALTY THEREIN PROVIDED NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICERS OR ACTING NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN CHARGE OF A RELIEF ON POST WHO ARE FOUND SLEEPING ON DUTY.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section eight of Act Numbered Six hundred and nineteen, entitled "An Act to promote good order and discipline in the Philippines Constabulary." is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 8. Any member of the Constabulary who, while on duty as, a sentinel, is found sleeping on post, or who leaves it before he is of the regularly relieved, and any noncommissioned officer or acting noncommissioned officer of guard in charge of a relief on post who is found sleeping on such duty, shall be fined not exceeding five hundred dollars or imprisoned not exceeding one year, or both."
SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
