AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE AND COMMERCE TO SELL A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PRIVATE DOMAIN OF THE INSULAR GOVERNMENT TO THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. The Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce is hereby authorized to sell to the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands, at the nominal price of one peso per square meter, a certain portion, containing an area of approximately two thousand square meters, of a parcel of land owned by the Government and situated on the Magallanes Drive, District of Intramuros, City of Manila, Island of Luzon, designated as Lots 6-A and 7-A of Bureau of Lands Subdivision Plan No. Swo-12994, the technical description whereof is as follows:
"Lot No. 6-A.—A parcel of land (lot No. 6-A of subdivision plan Swo-12994, being a portion of lot No. 6, block No. 198 of the Manila cadastre, G. L. R. O. Record No. 154), situated in the District of Intramuros, City of Manila. Bounded on the NE. and SE. by lot No. 6-B of the subdivision plan (property of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands); and on the NW. by lot No. 7-A of the subdivision plan (property of the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands.) Beginning at a point marked 1 on the plan, which point is N. 57° 55' E., 419.54 m., more or less, from F. Hyd. No. 7, of the Manila cadastre, N. 49° 53' E., 469.78 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 41, of the Manila cadastre, and N. 48° 44' E., 401.23 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 42, of the Manila cadastre, and from said point 1, S. 80° 00' W., 33.10 m. to point 2; thence N. 74° 14' E., 33.26 m. to point 3; and thence S. 10° 07' E., 3.36 m. to point of beginning; containing an area of fifty-five square meters and sixty square decimeters (55.60), more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan; and on the ground, point 1 is marked by B. L. concrete monuments, 15 by 60 cms.; and points 2 and 3 by G. I. spikes; bearings true; declination variable; date of original survey, September 28, 1916, and January 3, 1917, and of that of the subdivision, January 10 and 11, 1933."

"Lot No. 7-A.—A parcel of land (lot No. 7-A of subdivision plan Swo-12994, being a portion of lot No. 7, block No. 198 of the Manila cadastre, G. L. R. O. Record No. 154), situated in the District of Intramuros, City of Manila. Bounded on the NE. by lot No. 7-B of the subdivision plan (property of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands); on the SE. by lots Nos. 6-A (property of the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands), 6-B and 7-B (property of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands) of the subdivision plan; and on the SW. and NW. by lot No. 7-B of the subdivision plan (property of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands.) Beginning at a point marked 1 on the plan, which point is N. 54° 23' E., 364.58 m., more or less, from F. Hyd. No. 7, of the Manila cadastre; N. 45° 45' E., 419.04 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 41, of the Manila cadastre, and N. 43° 38' E., 351.33 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 42, of the Manila cadastre, and from said point 1, N. 10° 01' W., 32.08 m. to point 2; thence N. 77° 34' E., 60.00 m. to point 3; thence S. 10° 07' E., 31.26 m. to point 4; thence S. 74° 14' W., 33.26 m. to point 5; and thence S. 80° 00' W., 26.90 m. to point of beginning; containing an area of nineteen hundred and forty-four square meters and forty square decimeters (1944.40), more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan; and on the ground, point 1 is marked by B. L. concrete monuments, 15 by 60 cms.; point 2 by cross on edge of sidewalk; point 3 by cross on edge of concrete sidewalk; and points 4 and 5 by G. I. spikes; bearings true; declination variable; date of original survey, September 28, 1916, and January 3, 1917, and of that of the subdivision, January 10 and 11, 1933."
SEC. 2. This conveyance is made for the exclusive purpose that the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands may use the land conveyed to construct thereon a permanent building of its own approved by the Bureau of Public Works.

SEC. 3. The title to the land conveyed by this Act and to the improvement or improvements constructed thereon shall not be transferred without previous authorization by the Legislature.

SEC. 4. In case the chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands is dissolved or suspends operation, or ceases for any reason to need the land, said land and all improvements thereon shall ipso facto pass to the public domain, without compensation.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
