[ Act No. 43, November 06, 1900 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FORTY DOLLARS, IN MEXICAN MONEY, AND TWELVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS, IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The sum of twenty-five thousand nine hundred and forty dollars in Mexican money and the sum of twelve thousand nine hundred and seventy dollars in money of the United States are hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the Insular Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of the current expenses of the Insular Government in the Department of Mindanao and Jolo, for the purposes and objects hereinafter expressed, viz:

For rents and repairs to buildings, for salaries and subsidies, for pay of crews and purchase of coal, waste, oil, and so forth, for small gunboats, and for contingencies for the period embraced between November first and December thirty-first, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this appropriation bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
