[ Act No. 29, October 24, 1900 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING SIX HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-EIGHT CENTS FOR THE PAYMENT OF SALARY AND EXPENSES OF FRANK M. KIGGINS, FROM JULY TENTH TO SEPTEMBER TWENTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED, INCLUSIVE, AND THE SUM OF SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS AND SEVENTY CENTS FOR THE PAYMENT OF SALARY AND EXPENSES OF CARL C. PLEHN, FROM THE FIRST DAY OF AUGUST TO THE THIRTIETH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, NINETEEN HUNDRED, INCLUSIVE, BOTH IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The sum of six hundred and forty-six dollars and eighty-eight cents in money of the United States, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying Frank M. Kiggins, assistant to the Commission in organization of the civil service, for services rendered and expenses incurred by him under the direction of the Commission preliminary to formally assuming the duties of a member of the Civil Service Board, for the period from July tenth to September twentieth, nineteen hundred, inclusive.

SEC. 2. The sum of six hundred and twenty dollars and seventy cents in money of the United States, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying Carl C. Plehn, statistician, for services rendered and expenses incurred by him under the direction of the Commission for the period from August first to September thirtieth, nineteen hundred, inclusive.

SEC. 3. The Military Governor is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warants in favor of the persons named in the preceding sections, for the respective sums therein set forth, and the Insular Treasurer is directed to pay the same.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
