[ Act No. 21, October 10, 1900 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS, IN THE MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES, FOR CONSTRUCTING AN ADDITIONAL CREMATORY IN THE CITY OF MANILA.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars in the money of the United States is hereby appropriated, out of any money, not otherwise appropriated, in the Treasury of the Philippine Islands, for the purpose of constructing an additional crematory in the city of Manila for the consumption of garbage, night soil, and other offensive matter.

SEC. 2. The crematory herein provided for shall be constructed under the direction of the Military Governor upon any public lands in the city of Manila, available for the purpose, and pursuant to such plans and specifications as he may deem best.

SEC. 3. The Insular Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay the warrants of the Military Governor for the sum so appropriated.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
