[ Act No. 1362, June 27, 1905 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED ELEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-SEVEN, REGULATING THE REGISTRATION, BRANDING, CONVEYANCE, AND SLAUGHTER OF LARGE CATTLE, BY PROVIDING THAT CATTLE PURCHASED AND KEPT BY THE INSULAR GOVERNMENT FOR BREEDING PURPOSES NEED NOT BE BRANDED, AND BY EXTENDING THE TIME FOR REGISTRATION AND BRANDING UNTIL SEPTEMBER THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIVE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section seven of Act Numbered Eleven hundred and forty-seven, entitled "An Act regulating the registration, branding, conveyance, and slaughter of large cattle, and providing for the disposition, care, custody, and sale of estrays or large cattle captured or seized by the Philippines Constabulary or other peace officers, and repealing Act Numbered Six hundred and thirty-seven, and so much of Act Numbered Eight hundred and seventy-seven as provides for the disposition, care, custody, or sale of cattle, carabaos, horses, and animals of the bovine family, and all other Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act," is hereby amended by adding at the close of section seven thereof the following sentence: "Cattle kept by the insular Government for breeding purposes need not be branded,'" so that the section shall read:
''SEC. 7. Large cattle already branded with brand of ownership and counter branded  with the brand of the proper municipality need not be rebranded, but the owner must register such animals with the municipal treasurer and secure the eertilicate of ownership mentioned in section eight unless previously registered under this Act.

"Cattle imported for immediate slaughter need not be branded or registered, but the provisions of section thirty of this Act must be complied with. Cattle kept by the Insular Government for breeding purposes need not be branded."
SEC. 2. Section thirty-four of said Act Numbered Eleven hundred and forty-seven, as amended by Act Numbered Twelve hundred and seventy-seven, is hereby further amended so as to extend the time for the registration and branding of large cattle to September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and five.

SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
