[ Act No. 1354, June 15, 1905 ]

AN ACT EXEMPTING ALL BOATS OF LESS THAN FIFTEEN GROSS TONS FROM TAKING OUT A LICENSE TO ENGAGE IN THE COASTWISE TRADE OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. All boats of less than fifteen gross tons are hereby declared exempt from taking out the coastwise license required by sections one hundred and thirty-five and one hundred and forty-one of Act Numbered Three hundred and fifty-five of the Philippine Commission, known as the Philippine Customs Administrative Act, and no documents shall be required of such vessels, nor shall any fee be charged for either admeasurement or license tax.

SEC. 2. This Act shall not be construed to authorize any refund on account of license or other fees heretofore paid under laws in force prior to July first, nineteen hundred and live.

SEC. 3. All Acts or parts of Acts in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 4. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws” passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect on July first, nineteen hundred and five.
