[ Act No. 1343, May 05, 1905 ]

AN ACT EXTENDING THE TIME FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CEDULA AND LAND TAXES IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU FOR THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIVE, AND PROVIDING FOR A LOAN OF SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS TO SAID PROVINCE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The period for the payment, without penalty, of  the cedula tax for the year nineteen hundred and live in the Province of Cebu is hereby extended to October thirty-first, nineteen hundred and five, the provisions of Article XII of the Internal Revenue Law of Nineteen hundred and four to the contrary notwithstanding, and the time for the payment, without penalty, of the hind tax for said year in said province is hereby extended to November thirtieth, nineteen hundred and live.

SEC. 2. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of sixty thousand pesos, Philippine currency, to be loaned to the Province of Cebu and to be used by the provincial board of said province in making loans to municipalities thereof for expenditure on public works. Said amount shall be paid to the provincial treasurer of  Cebu upon the production by him to the Insular Treasurer of a certificate copy of a resolution of the provincial board of Cebu accepting such loan and agreeing to repay the same, without interest, in four equal annual installments due on or before one, two, three, and four years, respectively, from the date of the acceptance of said loan.

SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
