[ Act No. 2419, November 11, 1914 ]

AN ACT EXTENDING THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT AS AMENDED, TO PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY OR UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE BOARD CREATED BY ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-THREE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. All the provisions of Act Numbered Seven-teen hundred and twenty-eight are hereby extended to all to the Philippine property belonging to the Insular Government and loaned to the Philippine Board of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, for the purposes of the exposition, all property belonging to provincial governments and loaned to the Board for said purposes, and all property belonging to individuals and placed in trust with the said Board for the purpose of insuring the said Board against loss occasioned by the destruction of or damage to any of the property as aforesaid, by earthquake, fire, lightning, flood, typhoon, tornado, hurricane, cyclone, or other disaster on land or sea. Any payments made to the said Board pursuant to the provisions of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and twenty-eight as amended, and of this Act, may be used to restore by construction, repair, purchase, or otherwise, the property damaged or destroyed, or as a cash reimbursement to the owner thereof on account of the loss occasioned by damage or destruction of the said property, in the discretion of the Governor-General.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
