AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE OF THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Section nine hundred and twenty-five of the Revised Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 925. School year and school holidays.—The public school year shall consist of not less than forty weeks. The opening date shall be fixed by the Secretary of Public Instruction. The long school vacation period shall likewise be fixed by the Secretary of Public Instruction, taking into consideration the convenience of the pupils and their parents and the special atmospheric conditions prevailing during said period: Provided, That the months established for the school vacations shall not be changed oftener than once every five years.

"In addition to the legal holidays, the Secretary of Public Instruction may authorize the observance by the public schools of other special school holidays to be designated by him."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect during the school year of nineteen hundred and thirty-three to nineteen hundred and thirty-four.
