[ Act No. 3942, November 29, 1932 ]

AN ACT MAKING THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED FOURTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO, KNOWN AS THE LOCUST LAW, APPLICABLE TO THE RAT PEST.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. The locust boards created by Act Numbered Twenty-four hundred and seventy-two, known as the Locust Law, shall hereafter be known and function as locust and rat boards, and the provisions of said Act shall, with the exception of subsections (a) and (b) of section one thereof, be applicable to the rat pest.

SEC. 2. In the extermination of rats, however, only able bodied male inhabitants of the infested municipality between the apes of sixteen and sixty years, inclusive, shall be compelled to render gratuitous service.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
