[ Act No. 3251, December 01, 1925 ]

AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE EXPORTATION TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES OF SEEDS OF ABACA AND ITS DERIVATIVES

Be it enacted by  the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislative  assembled and. by the authority of the same:

SECTION  1. It  shall be unlawful for any person,  corporation, or association to export seeds of the  plant commonly known as "abaca" and  its  derivatives.

SEC. 2. Violations of this Act shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one  month nor  more than one year,  or by a fine of not less than fifty pesos nor more than two thousand, or both,  in  the discretion of the court, and the seeds which  it is attempted  to export shall be forfeited to the Government.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take  effect on its approval.
