[ Act No. 3249, December 25, 1925 ]
AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF THE LAND OCCUPIED BY SAN LAZARO HOSPITAL AND THE IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. The Governor-General is hereby authorized to sell or exchange, as may be in the public interest, the land occupied by San Lazaro Hospital, in the City of Manila, and the improvements thereon, provided the proceeds of the sale or exchange are set aside for the construction of a new public hospital in the City of Manila or any of the adjacent towns, in accordance with the requirements of modern sanitation, for the care, treatment, and welfare of the lepers of the Philippine Islands.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
Approved, December 1, 1925.
