AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION FOURTEEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-EIGHT OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE, INCREASING THE TAX ON PLAYING CARDS
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. Section fourteen hundred and ninety-eight of Act Numbered Twenty-eight hundred and thirty-five is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.

SECTION 1. Section fourteen hundred and ninety-eight of Act Numbered Twenty-eight hundred and thirty-five is hereby amended to read as follows:
'SEC. 1198. Tax on playing cards.— (1) On each pack of cards containing not more than fifty-eight cards, there shall be collected a tax of one peso. (2) On each pack containing more than fifty-eight cards, there shall be collected the tax established in the last preceding paragraph and a proportionate additional tax on the number in excess of fifty-eight."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
