[ Act No. 1207, July 26, 1904 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A SECOND REVISION OF THE ASSESSMENTS OR VALUATIONS UPON REAL ESTATE IN THE PROVINCE OF LA LAGUNA.

Whereas it has been made to appear that the valuations placed parcels of land, in the Province of La Laguna are in many instances erroneous by reason of oversight and mistakes, clerical and otherwise, in classifications and valuations; and that many other parcels are not listed at all: Therefore,

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The provincial board of La Laguna is hereby constituted a special board, with authority to correct all erroneous assessments or valuations upon parcels of land in said province which arise from clerical errors, mistakes or double assessments. The assessment lists of the said lands, when so made or corrected, shall be as lawful and valid for all purposes as though the corrections and assessments herein provided for had been made in accordance with lav at the proper time.

SEC. 2. The listings and revision of the valuations and assessments herein provided for shall be made and completed on or before the first day of September, nineteen hundred and four. The board shall give notice to the municipal authorities of the various municipalities of the province, and all complaints shall be heard under such reasonable rules and regulations as the said board may provide. No appeal shall be allowed from the action of the said board, and the action of the majority thereof shall he deemed to be the action of the board, and binding.

SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
