[ Act No. 3868, November 13, 1931 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE FIRM OF VIUDA E HIJOS DE CRISPULO ZAMORA, OR ITS LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES, TO MAINTAIN AN ACTION AT LAW AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS TO RECOVER ANY AMOUNTS THAT MAY BE FOUND TO BE DUE TO SAID FIRM BY REASON OF THE DELIVERY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF CERTAIN CROSS-ARMS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Authority is hereby granted to the firm of Viuda e Hijos de Crispulo Zamora, or its legal representatives, to maintain an action at law within one year after the approval of this Act, against the Government of the Philippine Islands in the Court of First Instance of Manila, Ninth Judicial District, to determine the actual, fair and reasonable value of sixteen thousand and four hundred cross-arms and the appurtenances thereto alleged to have been delivered in the year nineteen hundred and twenty-six to the Government and upon proof of the said value and the actual delivery to the Government by said firm of sixteen thousand and four hundred cross-arms and their appurtenances and their acceptance, to recover from the Government of the Philippine Islands the difference, if any, between the said actual, fair and reasonable value and the amounts already received by the said firm from the Government of the Philippine Islands on account of said deliveries.

SEC. 2. There is hereby appropriated from any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated such amounts as may be necessary to satisfy the final judgment that may be awarded to the firm of Viuda e Hijos de Crispulo Zamora in the suit to be instituted in accordance with this Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
