[ Act No. 354, February 04, 1902 ]

AN ACT EXTENDING UNTIL THE FIRST DAY OF MARCH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND TWO, THE TIME FOR COMPLETING THE LISTING AND VALUING OF THE REAL ESTATE OF THE CITY OF MANILA.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The date fixed by section fifty-one of Act Numbered One hundred and eighty-three, incorporation the city of Manila, for the completion by the City Assessor and Collector of the listing and valuation of all real estate situated within said city, and by section one of Act Numbered Three hundred and twenty-three amendatory thereof, is hereby further postponed until the first day of March, nineteen hundred and two, so that such listing and valuation is required to be completed on or before that date.

SEC. 2. The time within which publication shall be made informing the public that the list has been completed and is on file in the office of the City Assessor and Collector and may be examined by any person interested therein at a date fixed in the notice, shall for the year nineteen hundred an two be extended from the fifteenth day of March, nineteen hundred and two, and section fifty-six of said Act nineteen hundred and two shall meet on the second Monday in April instead of the second Monday in January, as now provided in said section.

SEC. 3. The amendments of Act Numbered One hundred and eighty-three made in sections one and two hereof shall only be applicable to the taxes assessed for the year nineteen hundred and one, and the sections so amended shall remain in full force, as to the assessment of taxes for all succeeding years, as they now are in said Act Numbered One hundred and eighty-three.

SEC. 4. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
