[ Act No. 435, July 23, 1902 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING THAT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF SAMAR SHALL NOT COME WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT UNTIL MARCH FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND THREE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The provisions of the Provincial Government Act and its amendments, placing certain officials and employees of provincial governments under the provisions of the Civil Service Act after March first, nineteen hundred and two, shall not apply to the officials and employees of the provincial government of Samar until March first, nineteen hundred and three.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
