[ Act No. 2047, February 03, 1911 ]

AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED TWO THOUSAND AND FORTY-TWO, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES OF THE DELEGATES OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS TO THE INTERNATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS CONGRESS TO BE HELD AT HOME, ITALY, DURING THE PRESENT YEAR OF NINETEEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN," BY PROVIDING THAT THE DELEGATES SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Two thousand and forty-two is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. The sum of four thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, from any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the travel expenses and subsistence during the trip of two delegates who shall attend the International Tuberculosis Congress to be held at Rome, Italy, during the year nineteen hundred and eleven. The appropriation herein made shall be also available for the travel and subsistence expenses of said delegates while visiting hospitals for the treatment of tuberculosis abroad."
SEC. 2. Section two of said Act is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 2. The aforesaid delegates shall be appointed by the Governor-General, and they shall during their absence from the Philippine Islands receive their regular salaries, if any, as employees of the Insular Government."
SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the same shall take effect on its passage, in accordance with section one of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and forty-five of the Philippine Legislature.
