[ Act No. 2535., November 02, 1915 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SURA OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND PESOS FOR TEMPORARY REPAIRS TO THE BENGUET ROAD LYING WITHIN THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE.

Whereas the Insular Government has appropriated a considerable sum of money for the Northern Luzon Fair, and many private individuals have invested money in said fair; and

Whereas the connection between the Naguilian Road and the Manila-North Road has not yet been completed, and some bridges and portions of the Benguet Road are reported to be unsafe for traffic:  Now, therefore,

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated the sum of fifteen thousand pesos for temporary repairs to the Benguet Road and other incidental expenses necessitated thereby, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary of Commerce and Police: Provided,  That, after the expenditure of the sum hereby appropriated, if the Bureau of Public Works shall, at any time in the future, notify the Secretary of Commerce and Police that the Benguet Road is unsafe for further traffic, the said Benguet Road shall be declared permanently closed by the Secretary of Commerce and Police.

SECTION. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
