[ Act No. 2575., February 04, 1916 ]
AN ACT AMENDING SECTION TWENTY-SIX (C) OF ACT NUMBERED THIRTEEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX BY CREATING THE OFFICE OF PROVINCIAL FISCAL FOR THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:
SECTION 1. Section twenty-six (c) of Act Numbered Thirteen hundred and ninety-six is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(c) The officers of the provincial government shall be provincial governor, at three thousand six hundred pesos per annum, who shall discharge the duties hereinbefore prescribed for the provincial governor and those prescribed for the provincial supervisor, and a provincial secretary-treasurer, at three thousand six hundred pesos per annum, who shall discharge the duties hereinbefore prescribed for the provincial secretary and those prescribed for the provincial treasurer, and who shall give a bond as provided by section four of this Act in the sum of ten thousand pesos. There shall be a provincial fiscal who shall -receive a salary not exceeding three thousand pesos per annum."
SEC. 2. The sum of two thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated to be added to the appropriation for the Province of Palawan for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixteen made by Act Numbered Twenty-five hundred and forty.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
