[ Act No. 2665., October 19, 1916 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SUNDRY EXPENSES OF THE PHILIPPINE SENATE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be expended by authority of the Philippine Senate for the following purposes: Salaries and compensations of subordinate personnel; salaries and wages of officers and employees of other branches of the Government who, at the request of the President of the Philippine Senate and with the consent of their respective chiefs, render services to the Senate in addition to their ordinary duties; traveling expenses of the President of the Senate and transportation expenditures in Manila; rent of buildings; furniture; equipment, including uniforms of officers and messengers of the Senate; stationery; printing and binding; postage; telegrams and cablegrams; electric current; telephones, and other incidental expenses in connection with the organization and operation of the Senate.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
