[ Act No. 2151, February 06, 1912 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION THREE OF ACT NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION IN MUNICIPALITIES HAVING NO PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT."

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. The first sentence of section three of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and thirty-three, beginning with the words "The municipal council" and ending with the words "by the municipality" is hereby amended by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"SEC. 3. The municipal council may provide for the enrollment and training of auxiliary volunteer firemen among the able-bodied male residents of the municipality, in a number not to exceed that of the police of the municipality, who shall be entitled to the privilege granted by this section, and where the number of the police is less than ten, a number of volunteer firemen not to exceed ten may be appointed."
SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the same shall take effect on its passage, in accordance with section one of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and forty-five of the Philippine Legislature.
