AN ACT AMENDING SECTION TWENTY-EIGHT OF ACT NUMBERED EIGHTY-TWO, ENTITLED "THE MUNICIPAL CODE."
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. Section twenty-eight, paragraph (a), of Act Numbered Eighty-two, entitled "The Municipal Code," is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
Enacted, March 5, 1903.
SECTION 1. Section twenty-eight, paragraph (a), of Act Numbered Eighty-two, entitled "The Municipal Code," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 28. (a) No municipal officer shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract work, or cockpits, or other permitted games and amusements, or business of the municipality, or in the purchase of any real estate or any other property belonging to the corporation."SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
Enacted, March 5, 1903.
