[ Act No. 2179, March 16, 1912 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF THE BAGUIO ELECTRIC LIGHT PLANT TO THE CITY OF BAGUIO.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The Secretary of Commerce and Police is hereby authorized to sell to the city of Baguio the electric light plant heretofore purchased under the authority of Act Numbered Two thousand and four and in the name of the Government of the Philippine Islands to transfer and convey the said plant together with the buildings, fixtures, poles, wires, installations and paraphernalia, and appliances of every kind belonging to, or used in connection with, said electric light plant to the city of Baguio upon condition that the aforesaid plant shall continue to be used for the generation of electric current for power, light, and heat for the paid city of Baguio and for sale to the Government of the Philippine Islands or to any of its departments, bureaus, or offices, and to other consumers, and on condition further that the city of Baguio pay therefor the said Secretary of Commerce and Police for the Government of the Philippine Islands the sum of thirty thousand pesos, which shall be deposited in the Insular Treasury as a miscellaneous receipt.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
