[ Act No. 2795, February 20, 1919 ]

AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS, OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS MAY BE NECESSARY, FOR THE PREPARATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A MAUSOLEUM TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF THE LATE HONORABLE WILLIAM ATKINSON JONES, REPRESENTATIVE FOR VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of my funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of sixty thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be expended, under the direction of a committee composed of the Honorable Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Senate, and the Honorables Jaime C. de Veyra and Teodoro Yangco, Philippine Resident Commissioners in the United States, for the design, construction, and, in general, all the expenses approved by said committee for the planning and execution at Warsaw, Virginia, of a mausoleum dedicated to the memory of the late William Atkinson Jones, Representative for Virginia.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
