AN ACT PROVIDING THAT ON AND AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN, UNTIL OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW, THE RATE OF COMPENSATION OF PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WHO SHALL BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE PAY FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS FOR SERVICES RENDERED ON AND AFTER SAID DATE SHALL BE AS MAY BE PROVIDED IN THE GENERAL APPROPRIATION ACT NOW IN COURSE OF PREPARATION AND ENACTMENT BY THE PHILIPPINE LEGISLATURE.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:
SECTION 1. The general appropriation Act now in course of preparation and enactment by the Legislature shall be enacted to take effect as of the first day of January, nineteen hundred and fourteen.
SEC. 2. The salaries and wages of public officers and employees who shall be entitled to receive for services compensation under the provisions of the appropriation Act referred to in the preceding section shall be on and after the first day of January, nineteen hundred and fourteen, as may be provided in said appropriation Act, until otherwise provided by law, and the officers and employees specified or provided for in said Act shall only be entitled to receive as full compensation the pay which shall be appropriated by said appropriation Act as the salaries and wages for their services, even in the cases where salaries assigned by laws now in force may be reduced by said appropriation Act, the provisions contained in said laws to the contrary notwithstanding.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
