AN ACT EXEMPTING THE AMOUNT OF THE INSURANCE ON THE PHILIPPINE EXPOSITION BUILDINGS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. The amount of the insurance on the buildings of the Philippine Exposition of Nineteen hundred and fourteen, as created by Act Numbered Twenty-two hundred and twenty-four of the Philippine Legislature, is hereby exempted from the application of the provisions of section one of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and twenty-eight, so that of the funds paid for the insurance of such buildings, not to exceed twenty-five thousand pesos shall be available for the general purposes of the Philippine Exposition including payment for articles loaned and destroyed by fire, the provisions of existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, and the rest of said funds, together with any balance left from the original appropriation and from the twenty-five thousand pesos aforementioned, and all receipts from sale 6i the plant or effects, shall be available for pro rata reimbursement to the provinces for exhibits lost by them.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
