[ Act No. 236, September 24, 1901 ]

AN ACT MAKING SEVENTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-SIX CENTS, IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES, HERETOFORE APPROPRIATED FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE INSULAR COLD STORAGE AND ICE PLANT, AVAILABLE FOR THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN ITEMS OF EXPENDITURE IN SUCH CONSTRUCTION.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Out of the sums appropriated for the construction of the Insular Cold Storage and Ice Plant by appropriations of four hundred thousand dollars, made on May twenty-sixth, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and of fifty thousand dollars, made on July twentieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and of one hundred and seventy-eight thousand three hundred and forty-six dollars and sixty-four cents, made on December nineteenth, nineteen hundred, the sum of sixty-five thousand five hundred and eight dollars and sixty-nine cents is hereby made available for the purpose of making final payment to De La Vergne Refrigerating Machine Company for the installation of machinery, and the sum of four thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight dollars and seventeen cents to make payment to Knisely Brothers for labor and materials furnished in erecting galvanized iron cornice and other labor and material, making a total of seventy thousand four hundred and thirty-six dollars and eighty-six cents, in money of the United States, hereby made available for the purposes stated.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
