[ Act No. 263, October 11, 1901 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION THREE OF ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND TWO, PROVIDING FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES PHILIPPINE COMMISSION.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section three of Act Numbered One hundred and two and all amendments thereof, providing for employees in the office of the United States Philippine Commission, are hereby amended by adding to the employees therein authorized the following: One clerk, Class A; one clerk, Class D; two clerks, Class H; and two messengers at a compensation at the rate of two hundred and forty dollars per annum each. The compensation of the four messengers authorized by Act Numbered One hundred and two is increased from one hundred and fifty dollars per annum each to one hundred and eighty dollars per annum each.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
