[ Act No. 283, October 29, 1901 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS, IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES, FOR MAKING REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS TO THE BUILDING TO BE OCCUPIED BY THE PUBLIC PRINTING OFFICE, FOR GRADING AND LAYING OUT THE GROUNDS ABOUT THE BUILDING, AND REPAIRING THE FENCE SURROUNDING THESE GROUNDS.

By authority of the President of the United States, be it enacted by the United States Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The sum of fifty thousand dollars, in money of the United States, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for making repairs and additions to the building to be occupied by the Philippine Public Printing Office, for grading and laying out the grounds about the building, and for repairing the fence surrounding these grounds.

SEC. 2. The money appropriated by this Act shall be expended under the direction of the Chief of the Bureau of Architecture and Construction of Public Buildings.

SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
