[ Act No. 2896, February 25, 1920 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION NINE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF THE EXPENSES OF TEACHERS SELECTED AS PENSIONADOS SUBJECT TO CERTAIN LIMITATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives a of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Section nine hundred and thirty-five of the Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 935. Travel expenses, subsistence en route, and monthly stipend.—Teachers selected shall be entitled to travel and subsistence expenses from their place of residence to Manila and vice versa, and shall receive during the trip and their stay in Manila for attendance at said special classes, as compensation of all expenses, an amount to be determined from time to time by the Director of Education, with the approval of the Secretary of Public Instruction: Provided, however, That when so fixed, the total expense of all pensionados shall not exceed the amount appropriated by the Legislature for that purpose.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
