[ Act No. 2946, February 16, 1921 ]

AN ACT MAKING THE THIRTIETH OF NOVEMBER OF EACH YEAR A LEGAL HOLIDAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Section twenty-nine of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 29. Legal holidays.—Thursday and Friday of Holy Week, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Sundays are legal religious holidays.

"The other legal holidays are: The first of January, the twenty-second of February, the first of May, the thirtieth of May, the fourth of July, the thirteenth of August, the thirtieth of November, the thirtieth of December, and the day appointed by law for holding the general election.

"When any regular holiday of fixed date falls on Sunday, the next succeeding day shall be observed as legal holiday."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
