[ Act No. 583, January 08, 1903 ]

AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED SEVENTY-THREE, RELATING TO THE EXAMINATION AND LICENSING OF APPLICANTS FOR THE POSITIONS OF MASTER, MATE, AND PATRON OF SEAGOING VESSELS, AS AMENDED BY ACT NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. Section three of Act Numbered Seventy-three, entitled "An Act providing for the examination and licensing of applicants for the position of master, mate, and patron of seagoing vessels," as amended by Act Numbered Three hundred and sixteen, is hereby further amended by striking out the words "two years" in said Act after the words "period of" and before the word "from," and inserting in lieu thereof the words "two years and three months."

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactments this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
