AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY, ENTITLED "AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE NECESSARY EXPENSES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER THIRTY-FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION 1. Subsection (R) of section one of Act Numbered Thirty-three hundred and forty, entitled "An Act appropriating funds for the necessary expenses of the Government of the Philippine Islands during the fiscal year ending December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, and for other purposes," is hereby amended by adding, at the end thereof, the following proviso:
"Provided, That out of the funds appropriated for the Bureau of Customs, a sum not to exceed ten thousand pesos shall be set aside for the payment to Fuji Trading Co., Ltd., for the seventy bales of straw board paper and one hundred thirty-four bales of news printing paper belonging to said company, delivered to another mercantile firm by a subordinate employee of the Bureau of Customs without the production of the proper bill of lading in accordance with section thirteen hundred and sixteen of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
