[ Act No. 3394, December 05, 1927 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION NINE HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ADMITTING GRADUATES OF SCHOOLS OF HYGIENE AND PUBLIC HEALTH TO THE COMMISSIONED SERVICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Section nine hundred and sixty-seven of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code of nineteen hundred and seventeen, is hereby amended by adding, at the end thereof, the following paragraph: 

"Physicians who have received the certificate, or diploma, or degree, showing that they are graduates of the School of Hygiene and Public Health, University of the Philippines, or of a similar school of any other university recognized by the Philippine Government as of good standing, shall, upon recommendation of the Director of Health with the concurrence of the Secretary of Public Instruction, be admitted to the commissioned service in the grade of surgeon without passing the requisite civil service examination."

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
