[ Act No. 3602, November 30, 1929 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF NINETY-SEVEN THOUSAND PESOS TO COMPLETE THE AMOUNT EXISTING IN THE INSULAR TREASURY FOR THE ERECTION OF A MONUMENT TO THE MEMORY OF ANDRES BONIFACIO, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. In addition to the amount appropriated by  Act Numbered two thousand seven hundred sixty and the voluntary contributions secured from the public and now on deposit with the Insular Treasury, there is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of ninety-seven thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the erection of a monument to the memory of Andres Bonifacio as authorized by said Act, and for the necessary improvement of the site for that monument, including such prize or prizes, not exceeding five thousand pesos in all, as may be awarded by the Secretary of the Interior or under his supervision and direction, for the most appropriate drawings and plans for this monument, to secure which drawings and plans he is hereby authorized to invite public competition. He is also authorized to avail himself of the services of such officers and employees and branches of the Government as may be necessary for the proper and complete undertaking of this project. 

SEC. 2. The sum herein appropriated, as well as all the  amount now on deposit in the Insular Treasury for the purpose of Act Numbered Two thousand seven hundred sixty, which is hereby made available for expenditure in connection with the provision of section one hereto, shall be disbursed by the Executive Bureau subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Interior. 

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
