[ Act No. 3604, December 02, 1929 ]

AN ACT TO PUNISH THE THEFT OF SHOOTS, LEAVES, FRUITS OR TRUNKS OF THE BURI TREE AND THE DESTRUCTION THEREOF, AND ESTABLISH THE PENALTIES TO BE IMPOSED IN EACH CASE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Any person who steals or cuts any shoot, leaf, fruit or trunk of a buri tree of private ownership to appropriate the fibers thereof without permission of the owner, shall be punished in accordance with subsections one, two, three, and four, and the first paragraph of subsection five, of article five hundred and eighteen of the Penal Code, as the case may be. 

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
