AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN, KNOWN AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1. Section five hundred and thirty-three of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 533. Restriction upon slaughter of carabaos.—Unless otherwise provided by ordinance by the municipal council concerned, no permit to slaughter carabao shall be granted by the municipal treasurer unless such animals are unfit for agricultural work or for draft purposes, and in no event shall a permit be given to slaughter for food any animal of any kind which is not fit for human consumption. Any ordinance authorizing the slaughter of carabaos fit for agricultural work shall not take effect until it has been approved by the Secretary of the Interior."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
