[ Act No. 4180, December 06, 1934 ]

AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be at the disposal of the Director of Public Works, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications and the provisions hereinafter set forth, for the purposes mentioned hereunder:

SEC. 2. All balances of the several appropriations made by this Act, with the exception of the appropriations in a paragraphs (d) and (g), the destination of which has not been determined by proper authority on December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty-five, and all balances of appropriations remaining unexpended on December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, shall revert to the unappropriated funds in the Insular Treasury, and thereafter shall not be available for expenditures except upon appropriation by the Legislature: Provided, however, That all balances of the appropriations made by this Act in paragraph (m) the destination of which has not been determined by proper authority on December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty-five, and all balances of appropriations made in paragraph (m) remaining unexpended on December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, shall revert to the "Port Works Fund" created by Act Numbered Three thousand five hundred and ninety-two, and thereafter shall not be available for expenditure except as provided in said Act. 

SEC. 3. The sums appropriated in paragraphs (d), (g),(h), (i), (k), (l), and (n) shall be distributed in the discretion of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications, but those appropriated in the other paragraphs shall be available for immediate expenditure by the Director of Public Works. 

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on January first, nine-teen hundred and thirty-five.
