[ Act No. 2199, December 19, 1912 ]

AN ACT TO AFFORD RELIEF TO SUFFERERS FROM THE TYPHOONS OF OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND TWELVE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundred thousand pesos to be disbursed with the approval of the Governor-General in affording temporary means of support to the inhabitants of the districts affected by the typhoons which swept over the Philippine Islands in October and November, nineteen hundred and  twelve. 

SEC. 2. So much of this appropriation as may be necessary shall be used to reimburse the appropriations of provinces and Bureaus for expenditures already incurred by direction of the Governor-General for the relief of sufferers from said typhoons, and to provide funds for the improvement of the poblaciones damaged, and said amounts shall be determined and approved by the Governor-General. 

SEC. 3. The appropriation herein made shall be available, for the purpose for which appropriated, up to and including March thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirteen, on which date any unexpended balance shall revert to unappropriated funds in the Insular Treasury. 

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
