TO:	The Secretary Department of Finance

As a matter of public interest and pursuant to the spirit of Presidential Decree No. 791, as amended, providing exemption for the payment of customs and tariff duties, special import tax and compensation tax covering importation of sugar mills, machinery, spare parts, and equipment, it is hereby directed that such exemption be extended to all importations made for the construction and operation of the new sugar mill since January 1975 and not necessarily effective only upon date of approval of Presidential Decree No. 791.

This will further enhance the government policy of providing an incentive and assistance in the production and processing of sugar for the welfare of the national economy.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-seven.
