TO:	All Heads of Departments, Bureaus and Agencies of the Government, Including All Government-owned and Controlled Corporations
SUBJECT:	AMENDING PARAGRAPH l(c) of LOI NO. 328 RE CONSERVATION AND PROMOTION OF EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF FUEL AND ELECTRICITY.

To prevent the disruption of vital government services and to optimize the utilization of existing equipment resources of the government consistent with the energy conservation program of the government, paragraph 1 (c) of LOI No. 328 dated October 27, 1975 is hereby amended to read as follows:

"c. To stop all purchases of eight cylinder cars and to desist from acquiring such types of motor vehicles through technical assistance programs. The limited use of eight cylinder cars may be allowed by the department heads to avert any disruption of essential governmental services. However, a program for phasing out such cars within a three-year period shall be  adopted  and  implemented."

Done in the City of Manila, this 29th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-five.
