[ LETTER OF INSTRUCTION NO. 19-A, October 28, 1972 ]

In order to facilitate the implementation of the program of reforms on public health, safety and peace and order caused by squatters and effect the prompt implementation of Letter of Instruction No. 19, dated October 2, 1972, the Presidential Coordinating Committee on Housing and Urban Resettlement created and constituted by Executive Order No, 2153 dated March 7, 1970, as amended by Executive Order No. 343, dated October 13, 1971, shall serve as a continuing Coordinating Committee to implement instructions in aforecited Letter of Instruction.

To maximize the efficiency of all agencies concerned and insure rational allocation of resources, the following functions are assigned to the various government agencies involved in solving the squatter problem:

The Coordinating Council shall immediately consider the relocation of squatters in the Greater Manila Area in the priority established in Letter of Instruction No. 19, dated October 2, 1972.
