The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines presents its compliments to the Federal Political Department and has the honor to accept for the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, the Swiss Government's proposal for a reciprocal arrangement on the exit and return of personnel from Philippine Diplomatic and Consular Missions in Switzerland and personnel from the Swiss Diplomatic and Consular Missions in the Philippines as described below, without visa and based on the simple presentation to the immigration authorities of their valid diplomatic/service passports and their valid identity cards issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Manila, or the Federal Political Department in Berne, in order to facilitate as much as possible the efficient implementation of the functions of the respective diplomatic and consular missions.
The Government of the Republic of the Philippines agrees that:
1. Members of the diplomatic mission of the Philippines and Switzerland, including consular, administrative, technical and clerical personnel, and members of their household of the same nationality, may enter without a visa for an unlimited number of times during their tour of duty at the post.
2. The documents necessary for entry are: valid diplomatic/special passports and the cards of identity {Carte de Legitimation) issued by the Federal Political Department in the case of Swiss nationals entering the Philippines; and valid diplomatic/service passports and the cards of identity issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the case of Philippine nationals entering Switzerland.
3. This arrangement for the reciprocal abolition of visa requirements for Filipino and Swiss diplomats shall take effect May I, 1968.
The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Federal Political Department the assurances of its highest consideration.

Through Note Verbal No. 63/68, dated March 26, 1968, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines has let the Federal Political Department known that the Government of the Republic of the Philippines has accepted the Swiss proposition of July 8, 1966, to authorize reciprocally the entry into the country, to the assigned post, under the presentation of their diplomatic passport or the valid service and their carte de legitimation, also valid, issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila or by the Federal Political Department in Berne For the members of the diplomatic Mission and the consular representatives living here in Switzerland and for the Swiss living in the Republic of the Philippines. As conceived, the implementation will enter into force on May 1, 1968 for both parties.
In thanking the Embassy for having considered this matter again, the Federal Political Department avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines the assurances of its highest consideration.
