Your Excellency,

With reference to the exchange of views between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Danish Legation regarding the abolition of non-immigrant passport visa fees, T have the honour to propose that our two Governments agree, by exchange of notes, to the reciprocal abolition or waiver of nonimmigrant passport visa fees for the citizens of either country visiting the territory of the other for business or pleasure for a period not exceeding 59 days.

I further propose that this agreement be made effective as of April 15th, 1959, and that it remains in force unless altered or terminated as a result of mutual consultation.

If the Government of the Republic of the Philippines is prepared to accept the foregoing proposals, I have the honour to suggest that this note and Your Excellency's confirmatory reply should be deemed to constitute and evidence the agreement reached between our two Governments on this matter.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

Excellency;

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's note of March 31st, 1959, which reads as follows:

"With reference to the exchange of views between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Danish Legation regarding the abolition of non-immigrant passport visa fees, I have the honour to propose that our two Governments agree, by exchange of notes, to the reciprocal abolition or waiver of non-immigrant passport visa fees for the citizens of either country visiting the territory of the other for business or pleasure for a period not exceeding 59 days.

I am pleased to inform Your Excellency that the proposals set forth in your above-quoted note are acceptable to my Government and that my Government agrees that your note together with this reply shall be regarded as constituting an agreement reached between our two Governments in this matter.

I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency the assurances of my highest consideration.
