SUCCESSOR AGREEMENT
TO THE INTERNATIONAL TROPICAL TIMBER AGREEMENT, 1983
The Fourth Part of the United Nations Conference for the Negotiation of a Successor Agreement to the ITTA, 1983, concluded the successor agreement to the ITTA, 1983. I am pleased to enclose herewith the text, duly edited. The new agreement (the International Tropical Timber Agreement, 1994) has been forwarded by the Secretariat of UNCTAD to the United Nations Secretary-General, as depositary, and should be opened for signature on 1 April 1994 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
I should be grateful if you would bring the text of the new agreement to the attention of your Government through the usual channels.
