MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON TOURISM COOPERATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC

The parties representing the Republic of &e Philippines and the Hellenic Republic,

DESIRING to strengthen the friendly relations between both countries;

INTENDING to promote mutual understanding between the two peoples;

RECOGNIZING the need to further develop mutual cooperation in the field of tourism between both countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit;

HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

A. That both Governments are committed to undertake negotiations for the conclusion of an agreement on tourism cooperation within a mutually acceptable period of time;

B. That pending the conclusion of such agreement, both Governments will exchange information on their respective tourism sectors;

C. That both Governments will encourage participation in their respective tourism and tourism-related fairs and exhibitions as a means of promoting a deeper understanding between their peoples.
