PROGRAM FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGES BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN FOR 2011-2015
In pursuance to the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation signed on 15th August 1961, the two countries have agreed to implement the following program of cultural exchanges.
Article 1
Exchange of Cultural Information Materials
The exchange of publications and videos concerning culture and cultural traditions could be started as soon as possible and maintained throughout the validity of this Programme.
Article 2
Exchange of Performing Groups
For the purpose of celebrating both countries’ national days, both sides shall, alternately, exchange visits of performing artists consisting of 10 members, for a period of 7 days.
Article 3
Promotion, Conservation, Restoration of Historical and Cultural Patrimony
The parties will exchange visits of art specialists or experts in archaeology/museology.
Article 4
Cooperation and Exchanges in Culture and the Arts
Both parties will exchange visits of experts on culture and arts who will deliver in their respective fields. Exhibit of photographs and crafts may accompany the lectures or fora to complement of to highlight the content of the activity.
Article 5
Participation in Each Country’s Festivals
Both parties may invite each other to participate in the festivals of each other’s country. Participation will be according to the terms and conditions of the festival organizers/authorities.
Article 6
Relationship with Other Cultural or Artistic Exchanges
The provisions stipulated in the present program do not exclude other exchanges, not mentioned herein and agreed upon through diplomatic channels.
Article 7
Costs and Expenses
The sending party will be responsible for the international travel expenses of the as well as the international health insurance of the delegations, troupes and teams, while the receiving party will be responsible for the domestic board and lodging, and in land transportation of the visiting delegations, troupes, and teams.
Article 8
Entry into Force, Validity, and Termination
The present program will come into force from the day of its signing and will remain valid until 2015 unless either of the Contracting Party requests its termination by serving a written notice to the other Party three months prior to the intended termination.
