ARTICLE 1

According to the provisions of this MOU and respective regulations, laws and national policies applied in both countries, the two parties shall endeavor to sustain and develop cooperation in the areas of technical education and vocational training.

ARTICLE 2

Both parties shall endeavor to carry out all activities related to cooperation in the fields of technical vocational education and training which will include but not limited the following:

1. Hosting joint conferences, symposia, workshops and exhibitions for trainees, employees, trainers and technology institute administrators.

2. Conduct joint researches and technical studies which would help in enhancing technical vocational education and training (TVET) carrying out the identified cooperation activities agreed upon by both parties.

3. Provide joint training programs for employees, trainers and technology institute managers.

4. Professional exchanges in technical areas to allow implementation of the training programs, conduct studies and consultations.

5. Exchange of professionals in the area of technology institute management.

6. Exchange and disseminate researches/studies and other related information materials.

7. Provide assistance to trainees and trainers in the form of scholarships/fellowships as per available opportunities.

8. Encourage exchange of technology programs between private enterprises and technology institutes including all necessary assistance for the implementation of the said technical programs.

9. Mutual recognition of skills and qualifications in areas to be identified and prioritized by the Parties.

10. Such other forms of technical education cooperation as may be agreed upon by the two Parties in the future. An implementation plan for any of the above activities shall be mutually agreed by the two parties.

ARTICLE 3

The implementation of this MOU shall be in coordination with the Joint Commission Meeting formed by virtue of the KSA-RP Agreement on Economic, Trade, investment and Technical Cooperation of both countries. Meetings shall be held as mutually agreed.

Among the objectives of these meetings will be:

1. Discuss proposals related to the implementations of this MOU and the work plans derived from it.

2. Preparation of work plans

3. Propose more cooperative activities in the fields of technical vocational education and training.

4. Create direct channels of communication between professionals for pursuing the implementation of the plans.

ARTICLE 4

Expenses related to any activity within this cooperation shall be borne according to the conditions agreed upon by the two parties.

ARTICLE 5

Any disagreement on the interpretation .of this MOU shall be discussed and settled in a cordial manner between the parties.

ARTICLE 6

1. This MOU shall enter into force after 30 days as of the date of the later written notification by both parties through diplomatic channels indicating that their internal Segal requirements for its entry into force have been complied with.

2. This MOU shall remain in force until a written notice of termination is served by either party. The termination date shall be six months after such written notice.
Unless, otherwise agreed by both parties, the termination of this MOU shall not affect the continuation of the on going projects agreed upon by both parties until it is completely achieved.

3. This MOU is signed in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dated October 1, 2005 corresponding to 27 Sha'aban 1426 in four original texts two in Arabic and two in English and are both equally authentic.
